Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an immediate release of Rs 2,000 crore for the state to meet its relief and restoration needs after severe damages caused by the recent rains.
Jayalalithaa has in her letter said, “the requirement of funds for immediate rescue and relief and the temporary and permanent restoration of infrastructure has been worked out at Rs.8,481 crores in all”.
