Yanuyanudrua to represent Fiji at Australia event.

FoxsportsplusBODY BUILDER Jekesoni Yanuyanudrua will be representing Fiji in the Joe Weider’s Amateur Olympia competition in Gold Coast, Australia in the weekend.

The other two body builders Ms Fiji Elizabeth Maki and Mr Fiji Inoke Ligairi will not be able to travel because of work commitments.

This was confirmed by the Bodybuilding and Fitness Fiji president John Lee.

“Jekesoni Yanuyanudrua is the athlete we hope to send to Australia,” he said.

The reason for our choice is that Yanuyanudrua is very young (20yrs old)and has the potential to place at this event and the international exposure will help develop a better athlete out of him.

Yanuyanudrua was also an athlete to the 2015 PNG Pacific Games and the 2013 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championship where he placed 1st in the junior category.”

Lee was hoping Yanuyanudrua would get his visa on time for the event.

“Apart from the hope of receiving Yanuyanudrua’s Australian visa on time to travel, our main challenge is obtaining financial support to ensure he is better prepared for this international platform,” he added.

“A placing at this international platform mean’s Yanuyanudrua becomes a professional body builder. He obtains sponsorship endorsements to promote and play the sport of his passion for a living.

“He is expected to promote the sport among his peers, in the country of his origin and to be a great ambassador of the country.”
