Eligible Australian passport holders will be able to sign up for automated immigration clearance when they arrive in Singapore. From October, eligible Australian passport holders will be able to clear immigration faster when they arrive in Singapore.
Australian passport holders aged 6 and above who have visited Singapore at least three times in the past 12 months and have no adverse record in the Republic will be able to sign up for the service. The enhanced-Immigration Automated Clearance System (eIACS) enables them to use the automated gantries at Singapore’s checkpoints when they arrive in the country.
Australian citizens can bring their passports with remaining validity of at least six months, as well as a recent colour passport-sized photograph to Changi Airport, Woodlands Checkpoint, Tuas Checkpoint or the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Building to apply for the service for free.
Enrolment is on a voluntary basis and those aged 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They must also present documentary proof of their relationship.
Similar facilities are already available in Australia for eligible Singapore passport holders.
