superstar Diljit Dosanjh during his Australian visit, the celebrity actor’s trips to the Macarthur region last week barely caused a stir.

The film actor, pop singer and TV presenter, who has more Facebook followers than Brad Pitt and Leonardo Di Caprio combined, is little known in Australia.

Dosanjh, a superstar of the Punjabi film industry, was filming scenes for The Return of Sardaarji — the sequel to the smash-hit movie Sardaarji, the biggest Punjabi film in history.

It collected US$4.1 million in its first week in Punjabi cinemas in June last year.

The 32-year-old is also recognised as one of the biggest artists in the Punjabi music industry.

He has 3.9 million likes on Facebook, 886,0000 followers on Instagram, and 373,000 followers on Twitter.

Director Rohit Jugraj said the sequel was shot in Australia to promote bonding between the two countries.

“We chose Australia because I love the outback, I love the whole feel of the sun and the sand, and the story demands it,” Jugraj said.

“Gledswood Homestead has this old-world Australian charm to it so we staged a wedding scene there.

“I hope other film producers and directors see the scene as I truly believe Australia has not been explored. “I’m sure Hollywood comes here but I hope Bollywood soon follows.”

The romantic-comedy will hit screens in June.

Source: Daily Telegraph

WHILE Indian fans have
