{"id":1261,"date":"2015-12-26T22:34:11","date_gmt":"2015-12-26T22:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.southasiantimes.com.au\/?p=1261"},"modified":"2016-01-01T04:35:26","modified_gmt":"2016-01-01T04:35:26","slug":"kpmg-posts-double-digit-growth-in-middle-east-south-asia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.southasiantimes.com.au\/?p=1261","title":{"rendered":"KPMG posts double-digit growth in Middle East, South Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/southasiantimes.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/kpmg-logo-150x147.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/southasiantimes.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/kpmg-logo-150x147.png\" alt=\"kpmg-logo-150x147\" width=\"150\" height=\"147\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1262\" srcset=\"http:\/\/southasiantimes.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/kpmg-logo-150x147.png 150w, http:\/\/southasiantimes.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/kpmg-logo-150x147-64x64.png 64w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>KPMG in the Middle East and South Asia (Mesa) region reported a 12.7 per cent growth in aggregated revenues of member firms across the region for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2015, up from 11.1 per cent in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>During the year, KPMG across the Mesa region had recruited 14 new partners, more than 650 experienced professionals and over 1,350 graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The resource pool at year-end is over 6,600 professionals and associates within member firms in 15 countries covering 32 office locations.<\/p>\n<p>John Veihmeyer, chairman of KPMG International, said: &#8220;This has been an exciting year for KPMG, as we have continued to innovate and invest at a record pace to meet rapidly changing global business demands. The breadth of services offered to clients has expanded considerably, with significant investment in new technologies such as real-time data and analytics, a record number of acquisitions, and bringing on board thousands of new, highly talented professionals&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In one of his recent visits to the Middle East, Veihmeyer also emphasised the significance of the Mesa as an important growth region for KPMG.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, KPMG member firms in the region received a number of awards including the &#8220;Accounting Firm of the Year Award&#8221; at the CFO Middle East Awards and the &#8220;Best Audit Services Award&#8221; at the Mena Fund Manager Fund Services Awards.<\/p>\n<p>It was also recognised as a &#8220;Top Tier Firm&#8221; in the GCC region, according to International Tax Review&#8217;s World Tax 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullah Al Fozan, chairman of KPMG Mesa and member of KPMG&#8217;s global board, said: &#8220;Our emphasis is on adapting to changing environments, enabling us to meet our clients&#8217; expectations.
